Dragon Boat Festival
Monday, 18th to Friday, 22nd June 2018
Lunch and Dinner
This June, we’re celebrating a piece of Chinese tradition here in the City of London! Join us during the Dragon Boat festival commemorating Chinese poet Qu Yuan.
Guests can enjoy eating traditional ‘Zongzi’ - triangular dumplings made of glutinous rice stuffed with salted egg, Chinese ham fillings and wrapped in bamboo leaves (£7.80 for a serving of 3). Always eaten to commemorate the festival.
The link between dragon boats and the poet draws back to the time when a depressed Qu Yuan headed to the Miluo river to end his life and people raced out in their boats to save him! Allow us to narrate the story in greater detail during your visit.
Chinese Cricket Club is located opposite Blackfriars station. Named in honour of the original Chinese National Cricket team, the AA Rosette awarded restaurant serves Cantonese, Sichuan, Huaiyang, and Shandong cuisines along with handcrafted Dim Sum.
